For anyone with an oilhead this could be a valuable mod for your final drive. Not actually a mod but more like a gauge or especially a 'Minder'. Smile

That sounds like an interesting item. I blew the drive on my 05 R1200RT last year about 600 miles from home. Almost no warning. Luckily, I was 6 miles from Blue Moon BMW in Georgia. They rebuilt the drive and had me out of there in a day.

Some of the more experienced shops don't install new drives anymore. They rebuild them to make sure the crown bearings are shimmed correctly.
