I was thinking (often trouble - I know), the Parks Canada Site shows that there are quite a few interesting places in Nova Scotia to visit. Perhaps we should consider putting together a list of some of these as possible inclusions for our 2017 ride schedule.

Not suggesting Sable Island or any of the other islands, but there are a number where it might be nice to visit, especially on Canada 150th birthday year. There are 5-6 in the Valley for instance and perhaps a few of them might be of interest to members. Just a thought to discuss later.

Sounds like the 2017 BMWONS Challenge is on - a photo of your bike in front of each National Park - a million bonus pints (err points) for the Sable Island National Park Reserve.

I've seen motorcycles with surfboards on the side, in the BMWONS photos of member events and Rallies, there's a photo of a BMW with a side-car and a kayak on top of the side-car, but for the life of me, I can't think of what would make one seaworthy enough to make it all the way to Sable Island. ;-)

You don't have to be a member of MEC to get one there.
Just go to the one of cashiers and ask for one or more passes.
I did and it is a painless task. Now I have one for the bike.
