2017 DownEast Rally
As mentioned at the AGM last sunday, this is one of the rallies on the Calendar.
This write up is by Bill who wanted to send a reminder.
The Downeast Rally registration is now open. Over that last 20 years this rally has been well attended by club members. If you are thinking of attending it is recommended that you register asap, registration is limited and fills up quickly.

Re: 2017 DownEast Rally
I think my schedule will allow me to attend this year.
The past few, I've actually been driving (4-wheels) through the US and met BMWONS members on their way home after each of the Rallies!
Two questions:
I checked with the Hermit Island Campground and their few cabins are already booked. There are a few hotels/motels I've found that are reasonable at about $100/night, but they're 20~ miles away from the Rally.
I have found an AirBnB Cottage, 3 bedrooms, 5 beds, 2 bathrooms that would be $392 for 2 nights ($39.20/night/person with 5 people same $39.20/person/night). It is 6 miles away in West Point, with air conditioning, etc., (shouldn't need that in May).
Camping is $20/person ($10/night - I guess).
Anyone have any other suggestions?

Two questions:
- Are most folks going planning on returning on the Sunday (21st) or Monday (22nd - Victoria Day)?
- I am looking at getting a hotel/motel/AirBnB, anyone interested in sharing?
