Final Ride
I am grieved to report that one of our Charter members has succumbed to the ravages of Cancer. John Dorman battled the disease as long as he could. JD was a stalwart member of the Apple Valley Riders, BMWONS, and BMWOA.
It's fair to say, that he was a key volunteer in the running of the Bluenose Rally. He will be missed in the Seniors Mens Valley Curling League and will leave a big hole in the backbone of the Wolfville Curling Club.
Thanks to Tony and Janet Mason who were at his side with support and comfort till JD's last breath.

Re: Final Ride
I didn't know John for very many years, but he was the type of kind soul that it didn't take long to appreciate his warm heart and giving spirit. Very glad Chuck that we were able to get together in July when Ted was down. They hadn't seen each other since the mid-70's and it was great that they got to reconnect for that brief moment. I've been keeping Ted posted as he was naturally concerned and have left him a message to call me. As you say, he will definitely be missed and can not be replaced.

A gentle man and a gentleman
John was the type of guy who always had a smile and time to chat. He was truly a kind and gentle soul.

Re: Final Ride
JD will be sadly missed and forever remembered. He had a gentle, friendly nature about him and we have been priviledged to have known him.
Condolences are extended to his family which would by extension also refer to Janet and Tony Mason who were his angels in this world.
Tony mentioned that there will be no funeral or viewing but a 'JD Day' will be planned for the spring of 2017.
Hope to see many of JD's friends there.
RIP JD

Re: Final Ride
A wekend of JD refelction for me. Our paths would cross totally unexpected out on the trail. Just the two of us. From Vermont to Nova Scotia. Always enjoyed his conversation and a good hardy JD laugh. I will miss these unplanned runins. God Speed my friend.
To Janet and Tony, thank you for your acts of love and kindness. True friends of JD.
