R65
Well, I've gone and done it....I've become an airhead. The amount of money it would have cost to ship the CS out here, safety inspection, and then ship back home when I'm done here, was a lot. So, why not find a bike out here because watching everyone else ride is driving me bananas.
I dropped by to say hi to Dave at http://www.anderwerks.com/ and he introduced me to R65. Long story short, after paying for a pre-purchase inspection, we both said 'I do' and now we belong to each other. I would like to introduce to you my 1979 R65 with slightly over 16k on the odometer:

Re: R65
Congrats Dino, that is a sweet bike with an incredibly low mileage.
It has been a favorite of many through the years.

Re: R65
Headlight protector and fork gaiters on order. I'm hoping to pick up the 65 before the end of Aug. Fingers crossed.

Re: R65
I've ordered fork gaiters and a headlight protector which I've been told could take 7-10 days to deliver. Fingers are crossed that I can pick up the 65 in Calgary in two weeks and ride it back to Cold Lake. I've started looking for a windscreen. Lots of choices, especially windscreens that attach to the handle bars. And I've read that some 65 owners are using Givi A-750 windscreen/fairing that are mounted to the sides of the headlight: http://www.itlcanada.com/2008/style10_page.php?langue=en&page=357
Can't wait.

Re: R65
The R and I had a wonderful trip from Calgary up towards Edmonton on highway 21. It was a sunny morning, a bit on the cool side but no matter, I was dressed for it. So glad to be on the road and very grateful that I have the opportunity to ride a motorbike, regardless of make and model.
