Re: mods R1200RT
Bert sent us instructions on 2007 nov 17th. It is worth repeating again as a refresher.
One of the neat feature on this forum is to insert thumbnails of pictures into your posting. This is particulary good for the "buy & Sell" section
You will have to register with servimg.com (it's free and can be used with other newsgroups)
Here is the procedure:
Type your post, and click on the button "host image" where you want to insert a thumbnail. You will be redirected to www.servimg.com.
If you aree not registered, do it (I am registered with them for over a year, and never got any junk mail related to this registration).
When you are regitered, you will get the following screen:(click on the thumbnail to see a full size picture)
Click on "browse" and the select the picture that you want to upload
Select your picture and then click on "host it"
When the picture is uploaded on the server, you will get the following screen.
Under the BBcode section, in the thumbnail section, click on the button "copy"
A popup window will ask you to authorize access to you clip board - ACCEPT!
You are then ready to insert the thumbnail into your Posting. Just put you cursor in the area where you want the picture and press Ctrl + V to paste it on your post.
When people read your post and click on the thumbnail, a new window will open and display the full size picture.
DO NOT INSERT A FULL SIZE OF THE PICTURE ON YOUR POST AS WE ARE LIMITED ON STORAGE SIZE

I use SmugMug. It only costs $40 a year and you have unlimited storage. Great way to back up you photos and its easy to send pictures by e-mail or post on forums.
