38th Bluenose Rally

The Bluenose Rally takes place this weekend, 2008 July 4,5 & 6. There is also a Deep fried Turkey dinner on Thursday evening for a nominal fee. Details about the rally can be found at the Bluenose Rally website . The website contains most information you'll need.
Our club, the BMW Owners of Nova Scotia are on the roster for 8pm on friday evening. This is where we give a BMWONS/Bavarian welcome to the registered rallyists. We will dispense a refreshing product to each participant of legal drinking age if they so wish to partake. We will mingle at our usual dispensing location. All members are requested to help out if you wish. Helping out consists of some setting up, digging out a beer out of the ice or chilled case, or pouring our BMWONS branded wine and offering it to rallyists and closing/tear down after the allotted time 2 hours maximum is over. Wear your BMWONS t-shirt, hat or other similar club-branded apparel and come have some fun. It's not hard to do and you'll have fun meeting fellow members and other motorcyclists. This rally is the 38th, I've been going to it for my 29th year.
The rally fee includes camping, use of facilities, a regular full breakfast, a pig roast BBQ and a banquet style (All you can eat) breakfast on Sun after a parade to Acadia University dining hall. There is entertainment Saturday evening as well with door/other prizes as determined by the AVR rally committee.
The BMW motorcycle marque is well represented at this rally.

Just to echo Amedee's comments.I have attended this rally 15-20 times since 1979.It is a great weekend with all the necessary ingredients-facilities,food,functions,old friends,and new friends we have not yet met.Hopefully many BMWONS members and friends will join us for the Friday evening meet and greet and the balance of the weekend.Ride safe Ken J.
