MAX BMW inaugural WINTER EXPO - Sat. Feb. 11th
From Max BMW's newsletter today (sounds like a very good event) -
Anyone interested in doing a road trip?
The Touareg will do that trip, both ways, for $180 Cdn. total. That's $45 pp with 4 people. Go down on Friday (easy drive - 9 hours to Max BMW). Take in the Event on Saturday and afterward either stay in that area or Portsmouth/Portland/Augusta that evening or drive the 2 3/4 hours to Bangor. Then Sunday, drive to Moncton and take in the Bike Show on the way back to HRM. ;-)
Just thinking out loud - four people and two rooms for Friday and Saturday = $175-$190 per person total, gas and lodging, minus food. Leave early Friday morning and get back mid-evening on Sunday.

The inaugural MAX BMW WINTER EXPO is on Sat. Feb. 11th!
MAX BMW will be holding the northeast's biggest BMW day at our flagship NH location on Saturday, February 11th.
This is a day you won't want to miss! We are going to open the entire shop and set it up Expo-Style, with specific areas of things to see and do, covering every part of your BMW riding experience.
Here are a few things we already have planned and there are sure to be more to come:
* Model-specific tech sessions in the service area throughout the day with our master technicians.
* BMW Apparel Reps with all of the newest gear and professional fitting and advice
* BMW New Product Reps to learn about all of the new 2017 models.
* Technicians tearing down and re-building a S1000 RR motor.
* Representatives from Yankee Beemers, Granite State BMW Riders, and the BMW MOA.
* Schuberth Reps to help you get the perfect helmet fit.
* The R69S from the IMS Show will be on display.
* Tours and demos of our new machine shop!
* BMW Oil Rep to consult about the new BMW-specific formulations.
* Fishtail Riding School and other event partners with info on fun things to do this season.
* Free food and prizes!
The MAX BMW WINTER EXPO will be an all-day event with free admission and no pre-registration needed.
In the coming weeks, we will release a schedule of tech sessions and demonstrations so you can coordinate your visit.
Put this day on your calendar and stay tuned for more info!

Re: MAX BMW inaugural WINTER EXPO - Sat. Feb. 11th
I can't make it because of a prior commitment on the 11th, but if you are going I have an order that I plan on putting in with Max's that I would be grateful if someone could pick up for me.
So if you can keep me posted. I can order and put it 'On hold for Pickup', with the parts department.
It's a small order of rear wheels rivets and a gasket.

Will do Amedee.
Doesn't look promising, unfortunately. While I do want to go and don't mind doing the driving, etc., it doesn't seem to be fitting into anyone else's plans, and I don't think I'm so keen on it that I'd do the trip solo, but who knows I'll see how I feel when I get back next week what the situation is.

Amedee, I was just thinking (I know, always dangerous), I'm in Las Vegas the end of this week and first half of next week. Would BMW Motorcycles of Las Vegas (aka Euro Cycle) have the parts you need? 1-800-521-0339 or (702) 454-6269.
BMW Motorcycles of Las Vegas
I'll be there to pickup a few items from them that their holding for me and if they've got what you're looking for could pick that up as well, but would have to be no later than the 31st as I'll be travelling all of Feb 1st. Can't recall which department Kim Wieboldt is in but she is holding a set of shocks and other items for me, so if you do place an order with them make sure to have her put it in with my stuff.
