Halifax International Motorcycle Show - February 8 to 10

How about all of us meeting at the Motorcycle Show on Saturday morning, February 9. After viewing all the bikes we could go to one of the local pubs for a meal and some socializing. What do you think?

Just checked with Pro-Cycle. They are selling tickets at $10.00 per ticket, a saving of $5 over the admission at the door, So if you happen to be at pro and plan on going to the Hfx Intrn'tnl M/C show pick up your ticket. Nor sure if RPM has them as well.

This was a fun event last year. Unfortunately can't make it this year - moderating a session at Saint Mary's over the weekend.

Wondering what members are doing re: going to this show today? Or should we regroup and attend tomorrow. I could probably venture out today after I clear a big bank. Roads are probably not that great. Outside the city probably worst. What is consensus?

No picture from me.
Wayne and I were able to get to the Show Saturday afternoon. Although I did bring my camera the only pictures I took were of the Husqvarna TR650 Terra that RPM Cycle had on display. Of the hundreds of bikes at the Show the Husqvarna Terra and Strada were the only ones that caught my eye. The new Honda CB500's are pretty neat, available with ABS and reasonably priced. The Strada comes standard with ABS and is an option on the Terra.

Btw, Husqvarna's Strada and Terra are using BME derived engines and for the last couple of years ago BMW owned Husqvarna. This all changed very recently.
No more according to this article.. It is now owned by an entity related to KTM.
So there you go: another transaction shuffles the M/C world.

I didn't take any pictures either Dino. It's basically a bunch of showrooms under one roof. The Amarok Electric race bike was interesting to see in the flesh. The BMW dealer had news about their settting up a satelite location in Dartmouth Crossing. They are hoping to set up by April 2013.

Lot's of traffic this afternoon and vendors seemed pleased. Renewed my Mojo subscription and got a T-shirt for the effort.
